WATERSHED MANAGEMENT PLAN KICKOFF MEETING
On April 7, 2011, the Watershed Management Plan (WMP) Kickoff Meeting was held to gather public input and concerns about water-related issues. Areas of discussion included water quality and quantity, wetlands, filter strips and judicial ditches, rock inlets, and watershed hydrology. There were 31 people in attendance.

CITIZENS' ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEETING
The HLWD Citizens' Advisory Committee met on April 18, 2011. Discussion was held about the opinions and concerns expressed at the WMP Kickoff Meeting. The committee members recommended that sediment reduction through education and implementation should be the main priority. They did not belive that the HLWD should change its course of action, but rather continue with the same efforts.
