Status: bid was awarded to Hutton Drainage & Excavating, Inc. of West Concord. Construction began in 2016. The Final Acceptance Hearing was held on December 6, 2017. Damages payments were made on March 20, 2018.
On September 11, 2020, Jan Voit met with Chuck Brandel and Louis Smith to discuss the JD 30 repair situation. At the September meeting, the board was informed that legal counsel would send a letter to the contractor and the bonding company. Correspondence from legal counsel was sent to Hutton, Inc. and Granite Re, Inc. on September 28.
Correspondence from the legal counsel representing Granite Re, Inc. was sent to managers in the meeting packet. ISG compiled the requested documentation and submitted it to HLWD legal counsel on October 14. Additional information was gathered. Chuck Holtman responded to Granite Re, Inc. on October 29.
On November 11, Chuck Holtman, Smith Partners provided the pay request for Noomen Excavating, LLC to Granite Re.
